The Fair City of Izmir to Host Two Major Fairs Between February 20–23
Known as the city of fairs, Izmir will host two major exhibitions between February 20–23. Bringing together the machinery and manufacturing sectors, IMATECH – 3rd Industrial Production Technologies Fair will open its doors on February 20, while Optic World Izmir – 2nd Optics, Eyewear, Ophthalmology and Technologies Fair, where the latest technological developments and products in the optical sector will be showcased, will open on February 21 at Fuar Izmir.
The Machinery Sector Meets in Izmir
Held for the third time this year, IMATECH – Industrial Production Technologies Fair will welcome visitors between February 20–23. The fair will bring together professionals seeking to discover innovations in industrial production technologies, strengthen international collaborations, and follow the latest developments in the sector.
Hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ and İzgi Fuarcılık, in cooperation with 4M Fuarcılık, the fair will present a wide range of products and systems required for the factories of the future. Exhibits will include machine tools, CNC and laser machines, industrial robots, welding technologies, marking systems, and automation solutions.
Business-to-business meetings are expected to result in numerous commercial agreements, and the sale of many machines is anticipated during the fair. This year, significant hosted buyer delegations will attend IMATECH through collaborations with the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce, Kosovo Businessmen Association, and the Užice Chamber of Commerce (Serbia).
A strong professional visitor turnout is expected from countries including Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Kosovo, Egypt, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine. Last year, the fair hosted 14,080 visitors, including 12,350 domestic and 1,730 international visitors from 63 countries.
The Optical Sector’s Eyes Are on This Fair
On February 21, Optic World Izmir – 2nd Optics, Eyewear, Ophthalmology and Technologies Fair will open at Fuar Izmir, hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ with strong sector support. Having attracted nearly 5,000 professional visitors last year—all industry professionals—the fair once again will be open exclusively to professional visitors until February 23.
The fair will showcase the latest products, accessories, equipment, and innovative technologies developed to enhance vision quality and meet aesthetic needs within the optical sector. Covering an area of 6,000 square meters, the fair will host 56 domestic exhibitors from Izmir, Istanbul, Antalya, Balıkesir, Manisa, and Yozgat.
In addition, more than 100 international purchasing professionals from countries such as Germany, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Iraq, Iran, Kosovo, and Egypt are expected to visit the fair.
